Myglam gone IPSY?!

Sooooo… Myglam apparently  switched owners or something because they are now ipsy. Not sure what that means, but what I do know is billing is exactly the same AND the bag that we received is WAY better! I may not know why they switched, but I am embracing this obvious upgrade with open arms!

Let me start by saying… I’m unsure of who is behind ipsy, but they have it going ON!!!! This bag was so on point that I was shocked! Before I get into the specifics of how great it is, I wanted to tell you guys what has changed about the service!

For starters, you can customize your beauty profile by logging in and taking a short quiz. You can also upload youtube videos, comment on other people’s content AND review the products in your bag! Enough of bragging lol, when you log into the site you will get a full rundown of everything! Now it’s time to dive into the goodies!

The first thing we got actually didn’t fit in the bag, but I was NOT mad about that at all lol! It is this SOHO smudge brush which is an amazing brush for packing color into your outer V…. helllooooo smoky eye! I used it in my last eyeshadow tutorial, click here if you would like to see how to use it! I’ve seen these Soho products in CVS, and always wondered how they were! I can say that this brush is pretty good quality, especially for it’s pricepoint!

Next up is a product line I hear a lot about, but have never personally tried… Carol’s Daughter! It’s the Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer! This sounds like a match made in heaven! I am big on hair health, and I constantly trim my ends and try to pay special attention to them to keep my hair looking healthy! I am in the process of trying this product out, so be looking out for my review on it!

We also received this Jane Sparkle Gloss, said to be infused with Vitamin C, it gives a medium amount of coverage and would be great to pair over a nude lipstick or concealed lips for true color! This is a verrrry bright pink shade with shimmer in it, and while I liked it on my lips, it definitely won’t make it to my lipstick-filled everyday makeup bag!

Here is a swatch of the gloss so that you guys can see just how bright this sucker is. It has a very sticky formula, which is one trait I hate in a gloss, but for those that don’t mind it… it’s a gorgeous color!

swatchThis Mirabella eyeshadow is new to me. I’ve never heard of this company so I’m interested in trying out this product! The color we got in the bags was “Semiformal” and it’s the perfect neutral shimmery bronze shade. It has a sheen to it that will provide shimmer without the fallout of glitter. This product is talc-free (YAY), paraben-free, gluten-free, and fragrance free! Sounds like we may have a keeper here!!! I’ve started to be more conscious of what I buy lately, so this would definitely be a product I could feel myself reaching for!

swatchLastly, we got ANOTHER Circus by Andrea’s Choice Nail polish! I almost own every color now, and they’re not even on sale yet!! Whoop! This is in the color Tightrope… and as SOON as I saw the color I picked up my Zoya polish in Charisma, and my Jessie’s Girl polish in Wild thing… what do you know… I found another DUPE!!! There is a company out there shopping the heck out of this nail polish color. It performs exactly the way I described the other two dupes and I now own three of the exact same nail polishes with different name brands attached to it! Grrr… The one part of the makeup industry I dislike!

Lastly, the actual bag that we got was amazing compared to all the rest. The quality is there, the zipper has a wristlet, and it’s matte black… can we say “every day wristlet?!?!” Love this bag and I loved the products we got this month! What do you guys think? Should I steer clear of any of these products?!

Love and lipstick,

Al
