Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Precious Oil Review

Okay, so I know what you’re thinking…. “I already have the perfume. Why on earth would I want the oil, too?!” Walk with me on the pathway of longer-lasting scent. *DJ Khaled voice*
When you’re wearing a scent as notable as Flowerbomb, you don’t want it to last only a few hours, right?! That’s where this precious oil comes in. This product is a perfume oil which has a more concentrated amount of fragrance “per drop”, for lack of a better description. Essentially, this oil is more potent. When I wear this fragrance I definitely smell the notes of sambac jasmine, cattleya orchid, and ballerina freesia bloom. I smell a bit of the centifolia rose, but I wish that note came out a little stronger. I’m a hardcore floral fragrance girl… (I can’t even believe I’m saying that. The Althea from 5years ago would never say that)… So I wish I had a bit more of that scent in this fragrance, and a bit less of the patchouli, which is the base of this fragrance. Anyway, this isn’t a fragrance review- we allllll know what Flowerbomb smells like. It’s a major player in the fragrance game. 

“But Al, you’ve done all that typing and I still don’t know why I NEED this oil.” SHADE! Yep. I hear you behind that screen. I hear that skepticism lol. The reason this product is so clutch is because it is applied to your pressure points BEFORE you put on your perfume. This oil helps to magnify the scent and prolong it. I tested the perfume without the oil and with it. Using the precious oil gave me another 3 hours of wear. The reason for this is there is more than just a surface scent application going on there. The oil absorbs into your skin, locking that scent in for longer. It’s genius!! So by the time my scent would’ve normally worn off, I had a second wind thanks to the Flowerbomb Precious Oil! I put two drops on each pulse point and let it absorb without bothering it. Once I can tell the oil has absorbed in my skin, then I spray on the Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum. *flips hair in the wind* Now I’m ready to go reenact a Beyoncé video. 

My fav feature about this Flowerbomb Precious Oil, other than the obvi prolonged fragrance, is the fancy packaging. Phew, hunnay. If you thought the glass grenade was gorge, this is right there in its league. It has a sleek package with the most convenient glass dropper. Fancy smhmancayyyyyy!! 

All in all, this product is a great addition to the Flowerbomb line. It is exclusive to Sephora, though, so that’s the only place you’ll be able to pick this up! For 0.68oz of this product expect to pay $75. To me that is a tad bit steep, but it’s expected because Flowerbomb is an iconic fragrance with the price tag to match.
