September 2012 BirchBox

I’m somewhat late to post this, but my  Birchbox came late, too! Above is a picture of fall trends, which was a part of a pamphlet that came in the box. Overall, I am disappointed with this box and I was much happier with my glambag! Every one of these services has an off month every now and then, and this was that month for Birchbox!

First up is Youngblood Mineral Primer with a pretty generous sample size considering you only need a few drops for primer. I’ve got to admit that I am scared of this primer because every single face primer I have used with that silky gel formula, has broken me out. All over my face! However, it has nutrients like honeysuckle and malachite to not only sit on your face, but help keep it healthy. I’ll be sure to try this and update you all! Just don’t judge me if you find me on camera with pimples all over my face haha! Full size of this 1oz product is $41.00!!! Whoa!

This is the one product I am most excited about this month… You guys know how I feel about nail polish! This is Color Club’s polish in Status Update, inspired by twitter, facebook, and all the other social media we are addicted to! This is a pretty grey color that is absolutely perfect for fall! It’s a cute mini-sized sample, with the full-sized product carrying a standard $8.00 price tag! Be looking out for a NOTD post with this polish! In fact, I think I’ll use it tomorrow!

This is a enzymatic face rejuvenator from Vasanti called Brighten Up! This uses micro crystals and enzymes to break down dead skin and wash it away! Exfoliating regularly is a definite way to keep your skin bright, clear, and a much better candidate for perfect-looking makeup! I will work this into my routine because I’m curious to see if it works! Full-size is $34.00

These samples were too small for me to decide whether I like them or not, nor can I use it enough times to see if it really made split ends disappear. Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End Treatment Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In Treatment Creme sounds like an amazing system, and I may even try to purchase it myself to actually try it out! Remember, though, there is nothing that can actually FIX split ends, you can only mask them! The prices are $9.99, $14.99 and $9.99, respectively!

Honestly…. Seriously… Really…. I am tired of getting these hair ties in my box. Do people even buy these? They’re so incredibly expensive! I wish there was a way to eternally opt out of getting this hairbows especially since they’ve had me “try” them three times since I’ve had this subscription service! NO MORE TWISTBANDS, please!!!!!!

I also got MightyLeaf Tea, but I forgot to take pictures of that! This was my overall box! What did you guys get?!

Xo,

Al
