Rimmel ScandalEYES Mascara Review

I won the Rimmel SCANDALEYES Mascara in a CVS beauty twitter giveaway a few months ago! I tried not to use this until my other mascara products ran out, so I’m just getting around to testing it out! I love winning giveaways because it’s a great way to try out new products and give feedback without having to come out of pocket!

Can I just start by saying this mascara is my least favorite of the over 20 mascaras I have tried in my lifetime. There are several things about this mascara that should be tweaked to fit someone like me who has long lashes, and is looking for volume.

It boasts it’s oversized wand, but that’s one of the things I disliked about it. I like to get my mascara really close to the base of my lashes and wiggle it around to really build the product at the base… I couldn’t do that with this wand because I repeatedly smeared mascara on my lid. The wand is just too big.

Next problem is the formula. I don’t necessarily dislike wet formulas, but this one is so sticky that clumping was inevitable. In regards of formula, this is the worst mascara I have ever tried. It was impossible to work with. It bunched all of my lashes together and all of those bristles on the wand go to waste with a formula that sticky.

Overall, I can not recommend this product to anyone based on my preferences. However, if you would like to try it, let me know what you thought of it! I like to hear different opinions! This product is about $6.99, so at least it doesn’t come with a hefty price tag!
