Review | Olay Professional PRO-X Advanced Cleaning System

So my grandma (hi Joan!!!) loves me so much that she got this system for me! I’ve secretly been wanting one for a while and was PUMPED when she told me she got one for me! I’ve used it three times now since I originally got it, and decided I would review it! I try to use products for at least a week before I review them… so if you follow me on twitter or instagram, that’s why I’m so late making this post! lolThis is what comes in the package…. The unit itself, one brush head, and two AA batteries. Trying to install the batteries was SO hard for me. Maybe I’m just crazy, but I couldn’t get the bottom off for NOTHING! I did the wiggle and pull thing they suggested, but it really took some elbow grease for me to pull it off. That was one of the biggest pitfalls, IMO, because I’m already dreading when I have to replace the batteries.

The system is waterproof, so I used mine in the shower. I skipped on using the provided face cleaner because my face is so sensitive. Instead, I used my cetaphil to cleanse since I know it helps with my acne. The system itself is not that powerful… it has two speeds, but they are not extremely harsh or abrasive. That is a pro and a con… someone with acne, like me, can use this because it won’t burst your pimples and spread your acne. However, if you are looking for an intense, deep exfoliation.. you may want to go for something stronger like the Clarisonic. Also, this isn’t an everyday cleaning tool… I would only use this once or twice a week.

Overall, this system is great for the $30 pricepoint and gives us acne-prone people something to look forward to in the “deep cleaning” department! I recommend trying this out if you want something more than just fingers and face wash to clean your face. Being a serious makeup-wearer… sometimes we just need something to really get in there and clean! Let me know what you guys think?!
