My Glam Bag | August 2012

I got my myglam bag for August! I haven’t had a chance to really try these products out, so this will be more of an open box, show-and-tell kind of post! If I had to choose which bag was better this month it would definitely be birchbox, but the glam bag had a few good things in it!

1) Circus by Andrea’s Choice Nail Polish in Spectacle
This polish I actually have tried, simply because I was hoping it would be better than the first color I got, Somersault! Well it definitely was!!! This polish only took 2 coats, was way less streaky, and the neon color of it was amazing! I was much happier with this polish than the other! Thank goodness… Y’all know I love Andrea’s Choice, so I’m happy to see she does actually have quality products! 

2) myglam Glam Gloss
I think this was a bonus in the bag, but I’m not opposed to freebies lol. This gloss has a very sticky formula, though, which makes me want to run for the hills to stay away from it! Sticky glosses almost always clog my pores around my lips and break me out. Needless to say, I won’t be trying this one out! It does have really good pink pigmentation, though! It’s like a barbie doll pink gloss… it would look amazing over a

nude lip or even bare to add a hint of color. Thinking about adding this into a giveaway! What would you guys think about that? To the right is a swatch of this gloss! It’s super shiny, too! So if you like your lipgloss to be poppin than you may definitely want to use yours! I don’t think these products are able to be purchased just yet, but once they are I will let you guys know for anyone who wants to make a purchase!

3) éclos Cell Activator Facial Serum & Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream
These products are supposed to use stem cells to revitalize, rejuvenate, and brighten your skin! They use apple stem cells to reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture, and honestly… I’m intrigued by this line! They are formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances or dies, petroleum or mineral oil. I can honestly say that I can’t wait to try this stuff out!

4) Demeter Roll on Perfume Oil in Clean Skin
I would just like to start off with a YUCK!!!! I did not like the scent of this at all. It smells like hair grease! There are other scents that sound like they would smell good, but the clean skin doesn’t give me that feeling whatsoever! I like the idea of it being this small roll-on perfume size, and would love to throw it in my purse.. I just don’t like the smell. Whatsoever. Darnit.. maybe someone else will and I can give it to them!

5) S.A.L.T.Y. Cosmetics Glama-ZOID! Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is really pretty! I can see myself wearing it wet or dry! It looks silver in the packaging, but it is actually a very shimmery pinkish color that I could see myself using as an inner corner highlight. Not sure that this is a lid color I would go for, but I can definitely make it work! I’ve also never heard of this brand, so I’m curious to see what else they have to offer!

That was my glambag for the month of August! It wasn’t a complete fail, but there are a few reasons why my birchbox was a little bit better! What did you guys think of this months? Did you have the exact same thing in your bag? I know sometimes they change little things from bag to bag!
