30 Books for Black Kids
HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!
I’m kicking off the month showcasing 30 of our favorite books for black children (we really should have a longer month, but don’t put me on my soapbox tahday)
These books have noticeably boosted the confidence in our children. They love their beautiful brown skin, their kinky coily hair, and their bedtime bonnets alllllll thanks to these books!
I cannot stress enough how important it is to not only read to our children, but to read books that speak life and love into them and their culture. There are a few that are missing (because we read books all over the house). I can make a blog post with all books, if you’re interested. Just let me know in the comments.
Also PLEASE share this blog post below with any parent, auntie, uncle, or caregiver you know! And to our allies, you can read these books, too! This is how we truly create change in the next generation!
