Your Feet Need Love, too!

Okay, I know y’all looked at that title and probably are giving your computer screen the side-eye, but if you think about it… it’s true!!! Over the winter months a lot of people neglect their feet because they aren’t exposed in flip flops and sandals, but that time is rapidly approaching so it’s time to silence those barking dogs! Haha

Throughout the winter I don’t really get pedicures as much as in the summer, but I do keep up with my feet using everything I will mention in this blog. If you have forgotten about your feet through the colder months, there’s still time to get them spring/summer ready! If you follow these steps, your feet will be ready in no time!

1) Soak your feet regularly! I trade out my night-time shower for a bath once a week. Inside that water I usually have a bath product like Lush’s sex bomb to mosturize my skin and really get it ready to be pampered. Doing this allows my feet to soak as well. There also tons of other Lush products to soften your skin while you bathe, so I would recommend going to your nearest store and trying them out! After I am done bathing I usually go into the next step….

2) Scrub your feet! I use the peppermint foot scrub by c.Booth that I got from Ulta a while ago! This thing works wonders! It strongly smells like peppermint, so if you’re a person that doesn’t like this smell, I would suggest trying out other foot scrubs by c.Booth! It’s great for exfoliating because it has little beads in there to remove dead skin and reveal your new, soft, feet in no time.

3) Scrub your feet some more!!! If you have some rough patches, like the back of your heels, then use a pumice stone or a rough surface to get that off. I have the Smooth & Buff Pedicure Set from earth theraputics and I love it. I don’t use the callus scraper because I don’t have that problem, but if you do be verrrrry careful when using that bad boy! It’s sharp! I also love the 3-sided scrubber for the back of my heels. I use the side with the smaller holes, kinda looks like a mini cheese grater, to just help scrub off any dead skin. Finish it off with the buffing side and your feet will feel ultra smooth

4)MOISTURIZE!!!!  This step is critical, for every day and for after an exfoliation. There’s no need to go through all of that trouble of getting your feet soft if you’re not going to keep it up! Use a deep moisturizer after you’ve done your at-home pedi! I use 5min SOS Cream by Lumene. I won this product from a CVS twitter giveaway and now I use it all the time! There is also the option of putting a generous amount of vaseline on your feet and sleeping with socks on. This will give you a deep condition to the skin on your feet…. you’ll be amazed at how they feel when you wake up!

Moral of the story is: if you have you face, hair and body looking gorgeous… don’t let your feet ruin the total package lol.

Let me know your secret to smooth feet down below! See you guys in my next post!!
