Revlon Moon Candy Polish Review

revlon moon candyI’m a sucker for a new product display in a store, and Revlon reeled me right in with this new product! Their new Moon Candy nail polish is an all-in-one dual ended product that gives a cool galaxy vibe! There are a range of colors, but I opted for the purple one, in Orbit. This shade is a deep purple with glitter flakes set in a lighter purple base. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this product! Revlon has done it again!! 🙂

It only took one coat of the base color to give me an extremely opaque color on my nail! Once that is dry I applied a GENEROUS amount of the glitter polish so that you could really see the glitter. The more you apply, the more it looks like a galaxy! At first glance from a distance it just looks like nails with duochrome or glitter, but when you see it up close it’s really sick looking! I did finish mine off with my Seche Vite top coat because you could feel the glitter shavings if you don’t seal it.

At first I thought I had floss or a piece of fabric stuck under my nail, but the more I paid attention the more times I noticed the flakes were coming OFF of my nail! This isn’t enough to make me write off this product altogether, but I just know this is not a week-long mani candidate!

Overall I loved this product and I think it’s worth it! These products are around $7.50 at your local drugstore or Target-type retailer.

Have you guys tried these out? What do you think? Overrated or genius?! Until next time…

Xo,

Al

have you found a polish that dosen’t chip? i use sally hasnen, and sephora by o.p.i. and they both chip horribly. i wash dishes constantly. i need a suggestion for maybe a top coat. if anyone knows you do. i just started painting my nails , i have to say i am an addict. but i hate chipping polish . it looks like prostitute nails. (crack whores) .i just can’t dig it.thnx Amy

Every polish chips eventually! Just make sure you use a base and a top coat on your nails and that will help your manicures last! My favorite topcoat is Seche Vite! It’s amazing!!!!
