Agadir Argan Oil Scultping & Styling Gel Review

20121115-102704.jpg

I recently received a sample of Agadir Argan Oil Sculpting & Styling Gel gel for review, so I couldn’t wait to give it a whirl! My curls don’t tend to be naturally defined… They are very curly and unruly when they want to be! I couldn’t wait to try this product because a gel sounded like it may be just what my hair needed!

20121115-102654.jpg This is day 2 of my hair using this gel and you can still see individual curls versus a long afro puff that it tends to become due to shrinkage. This product gave my hair volume and real hold! I didn’t see any shrinkage because I applied it at night, put my hair in a pineapple, and added a bit more to style it for the day. I didn’t see any build-up like white residue or flakes, which is a HUGE factor in choosing my haircare products. I will say, though, that when the Agadir Styling Gel initially dries, you will get somewhat of a crunchy/ hard feel. Depending on your preference, this can be a deal-breaker. I didn’t mind it as much because it gave me comfort that my hair was in place and wouldn’t move. Once my hair “set”, it eventually became soft again and it didn’t overdry my hair.

You can definitely use this in straight hair, too! I’ve used it to keep my fly-aways at bay in top knots or various twist styles. This is the kind of product that you wouldn’t want to add to your hair more than 3 days, as with any gel, simply because the hold is so awesome it tends to stay put until you wash it!

This product is for professional and salon use only, and more info can be found at http://www.agadirint.com to find a list of retailers.

Have you guys tried Agadir International‘s products? What do you think of their Argan Oil line?!

XO,

Al
